This year’s Vibe After Five was one of my favorite projects to date. I had the incredible opportunity to design florals for an event that brings together the best of the best in the Central Coast wedding and event industry. As a San Luis Obispo-based wedding florist, I’m always excited to show up with fresh ideas, bold color palettes, and my signature style. This night was about celebrating the creative community we’re lucky to be part of, and I made sure every bloom reflected that spirit. Whether I’m designing wedding florals for a Paso Robles vineyard or staging editorial installs for local industry events, I always focus on emotion, movement, and thoughtful color stories.

For this event, I chose vibrant jewel tones, layered textures, and intentional contrast. I worked with deep red roses, purple lisianthus, plum-toned hydrangeas, and fluffy pampas grass. I wanted every arrangement to feel lush, dimensional, and full of personality.

Highlights from the Night

With all of the amazing vendors who put on this incredible production, the need to create a cohesive flow, interest viewpoints and fun floral throughout the well known Central Coast event was quite the task. Being surrounded by talented vendors really added the pressure to produce some of my best floral design.

THE WELCOME INSTALL

Full of texture and energy. I used oversized and articulated roses, fern, and cascading greenery to greet guests with a statement piece that popped right away.

THE FLORAL TAP TRUCK DISPLAY

Featured a dramatic side install made for photos and wow moments, the tap truck was draped in gorgeous bouquet and spray style florals.

THE COCKTAIL HOUR

Included fresh bar arrangements that paired perfectly with the signature drink menus. We kept the bar and the cocktail tables filled with small to large size florals to keep the flow even and balanced.

THE VIBE PHOTO BACKDROP

This particular floral became one of the most photographed parts of the night. With layers of saturated florals and a glowing custom sign nestled in the center. We made sure to really spread out our color palette and utilized all of our feature flowers to accentuate the design and create interest behind the custom neon sign.

WHY I LOVE THIS WORK

Vibe After Five is more than just a networking mixer. It’s where San Luis Obispo wedding florists, planners, venues, and creatives come together to celebrate community and share their artistry. I’m proud to be part of a group of professionals who show up for each other and pour so much into their work. Events like this give me space to explore, connect, and stay inspired. They also remind me why I started Julia Isabella Events in the first place—to make floral art that feels meaningful and unforgettable.
